Upcoming Group Soundbaths
What to expect...
A group sound bath is a deeply relaxing and meditative experience that uses sound to promote healing and well-being. Here's what you can expect:
Preparation
Arriving Early: Its best to arrive a few minutes early to settle in and find your spot.
Comfortable Setup: Bring items such as yoga mats, blankets, pillows, and eye masks to create a cozy space.
Environment: The room is usually dimly lit with a tranquil atmosphere, sometimes enhanced with candles or soft lighting.
Introduction
The session will often begin with an introduction, explaining the purpose of the sound bath and the instruments used, such as:
Crystal singing bowls
Gongs
Chimes
Drums
Tuning forks
I may set an intention for the session or invite you to set your own
Relaxation Phase
I will then invite you to lie down on your mats, close your eyes, and focus on your breath.
You will then be guided into a relaxed state, sometimes through a brief meditation or breath work.
Sound Immersion
The sound bath begins with the instruments, creating layered, harmonic sounds.
The vibrations and tones are meant to resonate with the body and mind, promoting relaxation and a sense of balance.
You might feel the vibrations physically, especially if the instruments are played nearby. (No instruments are placed on your body during my sessions)
Reactions During the Session
Physical Sensations: Tingling, warmth, or light vibrations in the body.
Emotional Release: You might feel a release of emotions, such as tears or a sense of joy.
Mental States: It's common to experience deep relaxation, dreamlike imagery, or even fall asleep. These are all normal responses to a sound bath
Closure
I will then gradually reduce the sounds to bring the session to a gentle close.
Once you are sat back up on your mat I might lead a short grounding meditation to help you transition back to your normal state.
Post-Sound Bath Reflection
After the session, there’s usually a brief moment to sit up, stretch, and reflect.
I will invite the group to share your experiences or feelings if you wish.
Benefits You Might Notice
Reduced stress and anxiety
A sense of calm and clarity
Improved mood and focus
Possible physical relaxation or relief from tension
Sound baths are non-invasive and suitable for most people, but it's important to approach them with an open mind and a willingness to embrace the experience.
